The latest project where I am participating as a design director consultant is a 360 degrees concept, design and photography development for industry giant Siemens. I was lucky to work on this project with a wonderful team at Ogilvy New York.

Mind Prints – A Visual Book

What’s on your mind? How do you think? In words or in images?

We all collect images we’ve seen in the course of our days. But there’s even more: how about all the images we created ourselves, in our minds, images of things we haven’t actually seen, and of which no photos exist, things that the paparazzi missed; images that we created based on media accounts, water cooler discussions. What if somebody curated these images, strung them up in a gallery show for you to walk through and see, clearly and consciously..?

This is what Frank Meo and Alec Vianu are hoping to do with this project: help you discover the creativity of your own mind!

Nordstrom – BP Teenage Department Identity

In the process of expanding and better understanding its teen market, Nordstrom’s BP department hired Concept Soup to create an identity in line with its new strategy. Working with illustrator Liselotte Watkins in BxW illustrations, we created multiple more versions of them by adding a variety of colors to them.

A small but effective print advertising campaign for post production company Sol DesignFx in Chicago and Los Angeles, this campaign achieved to relay the message that this company has a personal face, the face of its people.

J. Walter Thompson hired Concept Soup to help them create a small yet powerful print campaign for the launch of the F-Series Trucks.

Ford Commercial Fleet

J. Walter Thompson Agency once again hired Concept Soup to create a complex elaborate print campaign for their Commercial Truck Division. This campaign consisting of 18 ads was an incredible project lasting five months and many more post production to complete.

A Day in May in Luray – a book

The second project for Potlatch, it was also the second collaboration with photographer Vic Huber. Just as the first project was, it was a great experience, rewarding and fun.

A great opportunity, reworking a classic is a stressful task. Creating a stronger more contemporary logo and all of its applications, including the advertising print look and design was both fun and challenging.

AMG 2009

A new generation of AMG motor-vehicles launched in 2008 for which we created this beautiful book included all AMG models. Nothing hold back here, all the inks available that a press could use, halftone metalic silver interlaced with 4 color process, great paper and of course, amazing new photography.

A beautiful book for this phenomenal car. Part of a full line series designed for Mercedes-Benz, it uses macro close ups for all covers, a design that worked very well as a immediate identifier as well as a brand builder.

A true Mercedes classic – the backbone of all the US sales, the E-Class deserved an equally classic brochure. Part of a full line brochure system, this brochure achieved in displaying the personality and essence of this beautiful car.

The launch of a baby SUV by Mercedes-Benz marked the end of 2008. According to the position of this new SUV, it appeals to a younger audience, a bit more contemporary. The style of the design and photography we used denotes this position and it has been received by our client and its audience equally well.

Mercedes-Benz, like most luxury automakers, had huge financial losses, leading to drastic cuts that were felt through most marketing materials. As a result, the collateral program was reduced, leading to a reduction of new photography and number of pages for their brochures. From 60+, the books were reduced to 18 pages.

This created the strategic need to emphasize even more the luxury feel of the cars for the top tier, while separating the lower, more affordable car lines through a different design, that allowed for more information.
